Red maple floating in river, ripples in shape of a guitar. My son once took me to the Japanese Gardens at Duke University while he was living out there. I noticed a bright red maple drifting in the water... the image stuck in my head. I was going through some major health issues at the time and was getting some tests done at Duke actually. While looking at the maple leaf I heard this song in my head of a guitar playing. When I got home, that song played in my head for some time, and I painted this from that memory. See if you can find the guitar. The Red Maple Leaf was, to me, like the Blood of Christ, blotting out, providing the healing of generational health issues... what I was believing for.
